wsb recruits industrial property specialist

GROWING commercial property consultancy and chartered surveyors WSB has made a key appointment with the recruitment of an industrial property specialist.
David Smith, who has joined Leeds-based WSB from Dresler Smith, specialises in agency and development work concentrating on the industrial and warehousing property sectors within Yorkshire and the North East of England.
WSB was established by directors David Watson, Robin Beagley, Duncan Senior and Carl Smith in May and specialises in commercial office, industrial, retail agency, investment consultancy, planning and development, and professional services.
Robin Beagley, director of WSB, said the company had made a positive start with more than 200,000 sq ft of office space to let and more than 1.5m sq ft of office development with planning consent on its books.
Mr Beagley said: “David represented a natural fit for the business; he's a senior and well respected figure in the industrial agency market and brings a wealth of experience of this key sector to WSB that complements our existing services.
“Our latest appointment puts WSB in a unique position for a niche practice of our size meaning that WSB can now offer a full range of office, industrial, development and investment agency advice with the key personal in each sector focused on delivering results in this challenging market.”
David Smith's appointment at WSB means that the the team is now five strong alongside existing directors, Carl Smith formerly of Christie & Co, Mr Senior, formerly of CBRE, and Mr Beagley and Mr Watson, both former directors of Lambert Smith Hampton.
Mr Smith said: “Whilst WSB are a new name in the Leeds property market it has already made its presence felt creating an excellent brand name and building a strong client base.
"I saw this as an ideal opportunity to join a experienced team that will enable me to provide a broader based agency service to both new and existing clients alike.”
