Wilton Speculates

YORKSHIRE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY REGISTER
18 November 2009

A similar approach is being taken by Wilton with its speculative scheme of 3,530 sq.metres office scheme, 10 South Parade, in the city core. Robin Beagley of the new practice, WSB, who is marketing the property, said: “We feel the timing of the development is right because we are seeing new requirements coming through and there has been an improvement in take up in the third quarter.”

He added that this “was a time to consider a move before the Grade A stock is absorbed.” The Wilton scheme, which is a refurbishment and new build to a Grade A standard, is due for completion in May 2010.

As far as the new practice is concerned, Beagley said: “We have been pleased by our positive start which has been helped by having the 6,689 sq m Livingstone House, Clarence Dock for GE Real Estate and the 1,858 sq m York Place for O’Rourke Reid to market.”
