Business Rates

Every five years the rateable values of all non-domestic properties in England and Wales are reassessed. With access to expert knowledge and experience of the rating system we will be able to assess whether it would be advantageous to challenge your assessment and advise on the impact this could have on your rates liability.

Whether you are an occupier facing a unwelcome rates bill, or have surplus accommodation or you are a landlord confronted with empty space we can advise you on a contingent fee basis to help minimise your retrospective and future bills.  With average reductions of 14% this is a necessary service to look at, particularly in the current economic climate.

The ongoing management of the rating position is also important to take advantage of any opportunity to minimise the amount of rates paid to the local authority.  We offer a fully managed service which monitors the changes that take place with your properties and the impact this may have on your liability. This includes challenging the assessment placed on the property by the Valuation Office together with an ongoing audit of the various rates bills having regard to the changing circumstances surrounding the property.
