Architects firm, Carey Jones Chapman Tolcher (CJCT), is setting up a base at 56 Wellington Street, a grade II listed property in Leeds city centre.

Harvey Burns & Co Ltd and joint agent, WSB, have confirmed the long-term letting on behalf of the building’s landlord, Westcourt Properties Ltd.

CJCT has taken the whole of the second floor equating to 2,188 sq ft in the fully refurbished offices.

Tim Hodgson, of Westcourt Properties, said: “It is a real honour that CJCT have chosen 56 Wellington Street as their new Leeds head office. “To have the approval of one of Leeds’ most established architectural practices is a true accolade and a testament to aesthetic quality of this historic building.” 

Antony Hall, of CJCT, said: “56 Wellington Street marks an exciting new chapter for our business and the location of the accommodation fits very well with their carbon neutral policies being close to public transport and Leeds Railway Station. 

“The quality of the refurbishment fits extremely well with our business going forward and brings us closer into the city centre where many of our projects are, such as Wellington Place, University NSCP, Monk Bridge and Candle House." “We expect our new offices will empower our staff and inspire our creative journey.”
