Savills and WSB have been appointed as joint agents at a prominent Leeds office building.

Hillview Real Estate has instructed the companies to market space at Sovereign House. The five-storey building offers 20,555 sq ft of office space.

A refurbishment of the building has recently been completed, including new shower facilities, raised access floors, energy-efficient pendent LED lighting, secure internal bicycle storage facilities, custom zonal access control system and a modernised reception area.

Originally built in 1862 for The Bank of England, Sovereign House is a grade II-listed property situated in the heart of Leeds' financial district and close to the railway station and the main shopping area.

Patrick Carter, director in the business space team at Savills Leeds, said: "Located in a prime city centre position, Sovereign House offers high-quality office accommodation which embraces the property's original features and is designed to meet the needs of today's businesses. With the current lack of supply in the city centre this newly-refurbished space is exactly what the market needs."
