Harrogate Nova Cycling Club are excited to announce a newly launched Youth Race Team for 2023, to encourage and retain riders within the club racing at a National Level in the under 14 and under 16 age categories. This has been made possible by the support of generous sponsors.
Harrogate Nova is one of the regions longest established
Cycling Club, formed in 1971 and already boasts a thriving Junior Coaching
section supporting the development of cycling skills for local children.
The new Harrogate Nova Youth Race Team, initially made up of
5 riders, will compete across road multiple cycling disciplines during the 2023
Season on both a local and national level, including Road racing, MTB, Cyclocross
and Time Trail events. The team's racing program will be supported and coordinated
by experienced racer and club member, Mike Cross.
The sponsors, whose kind financial backing have made the launch
of the team possible, are Stringer Mallard accountants, Connective3 digital
marketing agency, Strive Group connected experience agency, WSB Property
Consultants, OTE performance nutrition, and Prologue Performance Cycling bike
shop.
Robin Beagley of WSB, commented on the team launch "The
launch of the new youth team provided an excellent opportunity to support the
local club and grassroots cycling, particularly in light of the high-profile
cycling events that have been held in Yorkshire over recent years. We wish all
the youth riders a successful 2023 season”.
